Yasuní


Yasuni National Park is located in the Coca, due to its high diversity of flora and fauna, as well as the presence of Quichua and Huaorani communities in particular, represents a high tourism potential and future. Quichua and Huaorani communities located within and in the buffer zone of the Park, engaged in ecotourism, which is their only means of income.
Scientific studies on the fauna of the Park, have determined the existence of 500 species of birds. As for mammals, there is a record of 173 species, although it is estimated that there are about 200 that would correspond to 57% of the fauna in the country. There have been 62 species of snakes and more than 100 species of amphibians, many colors as intense as toxic freshwater fish, also has a very high diversity. The park is an endless succession of small hills formed by ancient passage of rivers. It houses one of the most biodiversity ecosystems on the planet, so the UNESCO declared World Biosphere Reserve. It is a natural laboratory that offers the opportunity to learn about tropical systems, its importance as the world's lung and extensive flora and fauna makes it a natural wonder that is the duty of all to preserve.
